I am deaf and rely on captioning ....since this is PBS programming, I would have thought PBS would caption the videos. I purchased the Old Fashioned Supper Cub HD and began to watch it ...only in my horror ..it's not captioned. I'm very disappointed. Would you please caption ALL your videos -- including those that your supporters would purchase and download. Thank you.
Hello,
We have received your notice that you were disappointed with the video purchase on VHX due to a lack of closed captioning. We realize that closed captioning is important for some people to be able to watch the video, but unfortunately have not yet had the time or resources to make this available yet. However, we do plan on having closed captioning made available soon, so we will let you know when that happens. Until then we are contacting VHX support to request that you be given a refund.
Please also note that although this video did recently air on Wisconsin Public Television (WPT), it was not produced by WPT, nor is the VHX video you purchased a distribution by WPT. This is a video that was created and produced by an independent filmmaker. In fact the video was presented in closed captioning by WPT when it was aired on television and it is from the results of that effort that we are hoping to be able to make it also available on the VHX platform soon as well.
Best,
Holly L. De Ruyter

Thank you Holly for the response
If I had known it was going to be aired, I would have recorded it with my DVR. In a way, it's partly my fault. :)
I do look forward to watching this program with captions ...eventually.
I would rather you keep the funds and use that towards the expense of adding captioning.
I would incorporate captioning in all videos from this point on ...it's really a no-brainer decision and it should increase customer satisfaction and even gain more viewers. I would be happy to assist you to point you to post-production captioning services (via email)
